Superintendent David S. Mckenzie, born in the city of Cleveland, OH.  He was educated in the Cleveland City School System.  He is the husband of Evangelist Cecelia Renee Mckenzie and he is a father of 3 and a grandfather of 8.  He received the Lord in the year 1990 under the Pastoral of Superintendent Mark L Perry, Williams Chapel Church of God in Christ.  He was called to the Ministry in the year of 1991, and began to do Kingdom building, he was the Local Superintendent of Sunday School, and served as the Ohio Southern Jurisdiction YPWW State President.  He was ordained as an Elder in Ohio Southern Jurisdiction under the late Prelate Bishop F E Perry.  He and his family relocated to Birmingham, AL and became members of Emmanuel Temple COGIC under the leadership Jurisdictional Prelate Bishop O L Meadows.  Also was appointed Pastor of Smith Temple COGIC in Hamilton, AL in year August 2001. He served as the District Evangelism President of Columbus Floyd Smith District. He served as Secretary of Jurisdictional of Pastor and Elders Council. After, relocating back to the State of Ohio he became the Pastor of Independent Missionary COGIC under the leadership of the late Ohio South Jurisdictional Prelate Bishop FE Perry.  Serving as the Local and State President of YPWW of the Ohio Southern Jurisdiction. His background in Child advocacy and Social work has prepared him to adequately serve his congregation and the community.  He is the Founder and Pastor of Citadel of Faith Ministries. He is an anointed man of God and a student of the Word.  He has been preaching over 20 years. One of the Great analytical minds of our time and he is fourth generation COGIC.  The grandson of a State Evangelist who pastored five churches at one time and the nephew of the late Elder Willie Williams.  He is a Holiness and Sanctified Preacher and Serves as one of the Pastor and Superintendent in Ohio Central East Jurisdiction under the Leadership of Bishop David L Herron, Prelate. Under his visionary leadership he has grown the membership of Citadel from only eight at its inception in August of 2015 to over an hundred and fifty at present date. Under his leadership the Citadel of Faith family has moved from a small conference room where the original services were held to purchasing the formerly known St. Wenceslas campus as their new place of worship. Pastor David Mckenzie has shown an ability to move and motivate people through his loving and caring nature, he attributes his success to his faith in God, the support of his wife and family and a tenacious mindset.
